Monday’s Sports Report: Mtn. View heads to title game for 2nd straight year; OSU looks for bowl eligibility; Oregon faces UW

One game left for the high school football season, and the Mountain View Cougars have found themselves in the final week for the second year in a row.

Last year, the Cougars were runner-ups in the state championship and lost more than 20 seniors. They head back to the state title game after a 40-17 win over West Albany.

Cougar running back Angel Valenzuela led the charge with more than 200 yards and four touchdowns. Mountain View faces Wilsonville in the state championship this Friday at 4:30 at Hillsboro Stadium.

Meanwhile, Oregon State is back in the win column after a 5-game skid. The Beavers beat Pac-12 rival WSU 41-38 on Saturday. Oregon State is looking for bowl eligibility this week as they face off against Boise State this Friday at 9 a.m.

The Oregon Ducks are 11-0 and #1 in the nation as they head into the final week of the season. The Ducks will host rival UW this Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
