LOS ANGELES (AP) — Police say a Hawaii woman who disappeared after landing in Los Angeles three weeks ago was seen crossing into Mexico alone with her luggage, but has not reached out to her family. Los Angeles police Chief Jim McDonnell made the comments during a press conference on Monday. Officials say that on Nov. 12, Hannah Kobayashi walked into a covered walkway at the San Ysidro, California, border crossing with Mexico. They say there is no evidence she’s being trafficked or a victim of foul play. Authorities in Mexico said Tuesday that they’ve been been alerted about the missing woman but haven’t received any official request to search for her. Los Angeles police say the case is now classified as a “voluntary missing person.”
