Dylan on The Ducks: Rose Parade Volunteers

BEND, Ore. -- (KTVZ) -- With the Rose Bowl less than a week away now, all eyes are on the Ducks and Buckeyes, or are they? There is an annual tradition on the day of the Rose Bowl which is a staple of Southern California, the Rose Parade. The parade is put on by mainly volunteers.

This year's theme is 'The best day ever'. The City of Pasadena will have a float called 'seas the day' featuring three best friends, a duck, turtle, and frog going fishing. South Pasadena is the oldest self-built float in the parade. On Saturday, the group will cover the float in flowers from top to bottom and put the finishing touches on it. Many volunteers say being a part of the parade is a magical experience.

The 136th Rose Parade kicks off on New Year's Day. Later that evening will be the Rose Bowl between the Oregon Ducks and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Dylan will be at the Rose Bowl giving you all the coverage you need.
