Periods of snow through the rest of the week
A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for the eastern slopes and southern Deschutes County until early morning tomorrow. The other winter weather alerts have been expired early due to no longer meeting the criteria.
Icy roads are still a concern as you get your day started. Drive slowly and give yourself extra space between you and the car in front of you.
We will continue to see periods of snow throughout the day today. It will be light, but plan for off and on snow showers into the evening. We could see another couple inches along the eastern slopes and in Sunriver and La Pine by the end of the day while the rest of us will likely only see another inch or so.
After a brief pause early in the day on Thursday, snow will begin again that afternoon and continue into Friday morning. We should pick up another few inches in this time frame. Â
The weekend looks drier, but temperatures will remain cold, in the low to mid 30s. The snow and ice will stick around for the long term, due to the persistent cold pattern. Plan your mornings accordingly. Â
Happy Wednesday, have a good day.
