Rain moves in tonight, stays through Sunday

We're starting the day dry with partly sunny skies. Highs will reach the upper 50s, with a chance of some spots hitting 60 degrees.

A Wind Advisory is in effect until 10pm Sunday here in Central Oregon. Expect southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

We’ll start to see some rain showers as we head into the evening. This rain event is expected to continue into and through Sunday. By the end of the weekend, areas including Sisters, Sunriver and Bend could see close to an inch of rainfall.

Overnight lows will drop into the 30s across Central Oregon.

The National Weather Service has released a Hydrologic Outlook for the weekend. The combination of incoming rain and melting snow could lead to creeks and streams running full and fast. This means there’s a possibility for minor flooding.

Temperatures are on the rise over the next few days, with some areas possibly hitting 60 degrees the end of the weekend. That’s well above the seasonal average, as highs this time of year typically reach the upper 40s.

Rain lingers into Monday, but by Tuesday, it will start to clear up. We’re expecting some pleasant conditions this upcoming week.

Sunny skies and mild temperatures… you might forget we’re still in February!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
