Bethlehem Inn in Bend opens its doors to the community for annual open house
New ktichen manager gets warm welcome
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Bethlehem Inn invited community members from around Central Oregon to tour the Bend facility Tuesday and learn more about its many programs.
The annual open house serves as a way for the homeless shelter to give thanks for its community partners.
Bethlehem Inn gave visitor tours where they learned about the facility's residencies, kitchen, and onsite clothing bank. Guests were given the opportunity to talk with staff members and shelter residents to learn about the program and its impact on the community.
Bethlyn Rider was also given a warm welcome as the Bethlehem Inn's new kitchen manager. Hors d'oeuvres donated by the community and prepared in-house by Rider were available to guests when they arrived.
The Bethlehem Inn provides its space to more than 1,000 people every year and provides over 100,000 meals annually. Events like the open house provide opportunities where members to connect and see firsthand what their combined support can accomplish.
