Clearing out and heating up heading into the weekend

The coating of snow we received in areas across Central Oregon will be melting over the next day or two as temperatures rise and skies clear. Highs today will be in the 40s, with a few areas tipping into the low 50s and skies will be partly cloudy. Be careful of slick roads early in the day.

The low pressure that brought the winter weather is exiting to the southeast today as a ridge of high pressure starts to move in. As it does, highs will progressively climb over the next few days so that we’re back in the 50s and low 60s for the weekend. The high pressure will help keep our skies mostly blue and the weather calm and sensible.

It’ll be a nice weekend to enjoy outside! Soak up the sun and the return of “spring feel” weather because it will come to an end quickly, with winter weather starting on Tuesday.

Have a great Thursday!
