Lava Bears stun the Storm with late-inning heroics to win the series

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- With just one week left in league play, Bend High and Summit High squared off in a pivotal top-10 baseball matchup.

Pitchers Cole Cooper and Carter Hess dominated early, keeping the game scoreless through three innings.

The Lava Bears broke through first with a bases-loaded walk in the fourth, and Summit responded in the sixth to tie it 1-1.

In the seventh, Will Goodman delivered a clutch bases-clearing double off Alex Via to give Bend a 4-1 lead. Cole Cooper sealed the win on the bump, securing the series victory for Bend.

This win by the Bend High Lava Bears moves Summit down to second in the IMC, and now the Ridgeview Ravens hold the top spot.
