Rain clearing this morning, warming temperatures ahead
You might notice a few raindrops early this morning but for the most part, rain is on its way out as the small system that brought it exits north and east. Temperatures are dropping back down into the upper 50s and low 60s today. Skies will be variably cloudy this afternoon.
Following the rain and cooler temperatures today, warming and drying conditions will make their long-awaited return. The heat up will begin on Friday but you’ll really be feeling it for the weekend. Highs will get back to near normal Friday, in the upper 60s and low 70s. Plan for sunshine and temperatures in the 70s and 80s for Memorial Day weekend.
For those of you planning your three-day weekend, your best days to get outside will be Saturday and Sunday. The next system arrives overnight Sunday and will bring chances for rain and slight chances for thunderstorms into Monday. You’ll probably have to plan around the weather that day.
Many will be out and about this weekend so make sure you’re wearing sunscreen, drinking water, and staying careful! That water might have a bit of a bite to it and could be running a little fast in some areas as it’s still early in the season.
Happy Thursday! Have a great day.
