Golf season comes to a close, and Central Oregon teams are coming home with hardware

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- As the spring sports season comes to a close, both girls flag football and golf have officially wrapped up their schedules, bringing an exciting and competitive season to an end.

The Summit Storm boys golf team narrowly missed out on securing a fourth consecutive state title, finishing in a strong second place overall.

Despite falling short of the four-peat, individual performances stood out. Bryden Ditty led the team with an impressive second-place finish, while teammate Bryce Grieb tied for sixth. Joining Grieb in sixth place was Bend’s Gustav Kristofferson, who capped off a stellar season with a top-10 finish.

On the girls' side, the Summit team secured third place at state, showcasing the depth and talent of their roster. Sophi Hasselblad led the charge with an eighth-place individual finish. Meanwhile, Redmond’s district champion, Payton Richardson, delivered an outstanding performance, earning fourth place overall.

As spring sports conclude, athletes from across Central Oregon can look back on a season filled with achievement, growth, and memorable moments.
