Near normal today with a warm weekend ahead

Temperatures today will be near normal, in the low to mid 70s. This weekend, temperatures will give us that “summer feel.” Highs will range from the mid 70s to the low 80s on both Saturday and Sunday. This pattern stays consistent through next week.

A few models are producing a chance for stray showers this afternoon. The surface is dry, so you might not find a lot of that rain making it to the ground.

With an upper level disturbance rolling through today, it will make us a little breezy and could create some instability. I wouldn’t plan your day around stormy weather—the chances are slim—but you could hear a rumble of thunder off in the distance in portions of Southern Deschutes or Crook County. If a storm decides to pop up, it will be very isolated. Again, chances are slim, but I’ll give you the heads up just in case.

Your day should be mostly sunny to partly cloudy at times. The sun should stick around for the majority of the weekend.

Have a great weekend! Happy Father’s Day.
