Typical Summer weekend ahead, storms likely next week

(KTVZ Bend, OR). This weekend will be climatologically on point as the temperatures will be in the middle to upper 80s. The sky conditions will be mostly sunny and dry, and the winds will be noticeable but not overwhelming. If you are a fan of July weather patterns, this weekend is right up your ally.

There will be some spotty storms to the east both days, but only some late day clouds fill the skies over Central Oregon this weekend.

Next week the pattern gets ahold of some moisture and there will be some spotty storms popping up each afternoon.  The heat will be back starting Monday as well as the mercury reaches the 90s into at least the middle of the week.

The storms will be isolated and disorganized but will pop and drop quickly.  These pop-up storms produce a good deal of rain in a short period of time and some areas may get overtaken for a brief period.  Keep an eye to the sky each day next week if you are out and about.

The storms increase in coverage area by Wednesday and Thursday and may be a bit more robust by mid-week as well.

Bottom line, enjoy the weekend ahead as the dry pattern is likely to be changing starting Monday.
