The Big Playback Pt. 1 8/29: Summit shows out in home opener; Caldera falls; Ridgeview breaks in new field with a massive win on Reece Rollins night

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ)- Summit football hasn't won their season opener in a long time. On Friday night that all changed, as Summit's offense was spectacular to begin the game with two 4th down touchdowns thrown by QB Andrew Guthrie. The Storm continued to roll and beat 6A Sprague 36-26.

Caldera hosted Thurston to begin the 2025 season. It took a long time for the Wolfpack to click offensively and it was difficult to stop the Thurston offense. The Wolfpack fell 48-17.

Ridgeview has a new field and a brand new team. They honored Reece Rollins to kick off their season at home, and honored his name the right way, beating Woodburn 49-0.
