Fire season isn’t over yet; warm, dry, and breezy today
Bend, OR (KTVZ) -
There is a Red Flag Warning out for the lower Columbia Basin and portions of northern Jefferson County until 11pm tonight. Conditions are very and winds will get breezy this afternoon. Winds will gust near 20mph for most, but upwards of 35mph for areas like Warm Springs. Fire season is ongoing and it’s an important reminder to always practice fire safety.
Temperatures are warm again today with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s today. Temperatures tomorrow will drop to near normal after a cold front and upper level low swing by today. Normal is in the lower and middle 70s. Temperatures rebound back into the 80s for the weekend as a ridge of high pressure builds in.
Big changes are coming next week. Soak up the next few days of summer weather because cooler and wetter weather is moving in at the top of next week. Temperatures will be in the 60s and 70s starting Monday.
Bring out your rain gear and fall sweaters because rain chances begin Monday and will continue off and on through a good majority of next week. I’ll continue to track changes to the forecast here on KTVZ.
Have a nice Thursday.
