Meta donates to Crook County schools to boost robotics, launch community programs

(Update: video added)

PRINEVILLE, Ore. (KTVZ) — The Crook County School District announced this week that it has received a generous $25,000 donation from tech company Meta (Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp) to support its growing robotics programs.

District officials said the funding will provide robotics supplies, starter kits, and equipment for after-school clubs and student competitions.

Meta’s donation will also help launch a community-wide Robotics Night, inviting families and local residents to see students’ work and explore technology in action.
