Stray morning showers Wednesday, otherwise dry and mild into Halloween
(KTVZ, Bend Ore.) A weak cold front will push through the Cascades overnight and provide some light rain showers. Some of the highest peaks will see snow, but the mountain passes will be impacted by light rain until around sunrise. The rest of the Tri-Counties will stay dry, other than a brief period of light rain and drizzle around sunrise.
Highs Wednesday and Thursday are expected to be in the 50s as the cooler air mass behind the front takes a brief hold of the region. Thursday will be cooler as the flow of air will arrive from the north.
Changing toward a rainy pattern will mean that Friday, Halloween, will be the transition day. We will be partly cloudy in the morning then the clouds lower and thicken as the day moves along. Mostly cloudy skies are expected for the “trick or treat” time frame of 4 pm to 7 pm. Rain should hold off until Saturday. High temperatures will be in the low 60s and in the 50s in the evening.
Saturday will be rainy off and on as a line of showers push through the Pacific Northwest. A mild airmass is going to accompany the rain so mostly all rain through the mountain passes. High elevation snow is possible, but not widespread.
Sunday will have a bit of lingering rain in the morning then some partial clearing in the afternoon. Highs will be cooler, only reaching the middle 50s.
Off and on rain showers are expected next week with highs in the 60s.
