Increasing clouds into the weekend, rain possible Saturday

Bend, OR (KTVZ) -

It will be another quiet and calm autumn day. Temperatures are near normal, in the low to mid 50s under a few passing clouds and a light breeze.

Temperatures are expected to heat into the 60s Friday and Saturday as a ridge of high pressure builds into the region.

Your Halloween will be dry but clouds will increase that afternoon. You’ll be safe from the werewolves parading around town because the nearly-full moon will be mostly hidden. Temperatures while you’re out trick-or-treating or attending the Witches Paddle in the Old Mill in Bend will be in the 50s, or the 40s if you’re out a little later that night.

An approaching surface system is bringing rain chances Saturday afternoon. Much of the rain will be eaten up by the mountains, but showers are possible during the second half of the day Saturday.

Rain should clear overnight into Sunday morning. I am tracking a few chances for rain next week, so you’ll want to keep the rain gear handy.

Happy Thursday! Have a nice day.
