Cloudy and breezy ahead of wet and windy weather on Thursday
Bend, OR (KTVZ) -
The atmosphere is getting ready for wetter weather today. Plan for cloudy skies as moisture increases and an afternoon breeze. Temperatures today will be in the 60s.
An Air Quality Alert is still active for Deschutes County but should expire today with the increase in winds.
Rain is forecasted to begin overnight into early Thursday morning. Scattered showers will continue through the afternoon. Winds will pick up, gusting between 25-35mph.
Rain chances continue to fall off for the rest of the week. Rain and light snow will continue Friday along the mountains but areas along 97 should see mostly dry conditions. Sisters has a slightly better chance for rain or wintry mix Friday.
Saturday will be dry and cloudy. Sunday evening looks like the next best chance for rain and snow but models aren’t in great agreement. We will continue to monitor any changes and keep you updated as we refine the forecast into next week.Â
Happy Wednesday. Have a wonderful day.Â
