Hi Central Oregon!

I’m Campbell Porter, and I’m proud to call this beautiful state home.

I was born in Boise, Idaho, but I spent most of my upbringing in Portland. I earned my degree in Media and Communications from Portland State University. The high desert has always felt like home, as I commonly visited family here as a child. 

Storytelling and writing have been passions of mine since I was a kid, I even crafted my own “magazines” for my dad to read at the age of 10. In high school and college, I was recognized for my poetry, creative writing and more.

As a producer at KTVZ, I love staying connected to the people and places I care about, keeping our community informed, and highlighting the initiatives that matter most to Central Oregon. I also find fulfillment writing about politics, crime, and other topics that impact our state, and beyond.  

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. When it's cold, you'll find me skiing on Mt. Bachelor, and when it's warm - floating on the river.
