Light rain, breezy, and above normal temperatures continue today

KTVZ-TV

Bend, OR (KTVZ) -

It will be another gray and misty day today. You can plan for light rain totaling less than a tenth of an inch through the day. Locally heavier amounts are possible but the heaviest rain will once again fall across the mountains and to the northwest, where the Atmospheric River is really impacting the region.

River flooding is occurring in areas across the Pacific Northwest; increased flooding is anticipated with more rain in the forecast. While this is not occurring in Central Oregon, you’ll want to make sure to check the local forecast if you have outdoor travel plans over the next few days.

Today will be breezy, but not quite as windy as yesterday. Winds will gust between 20-25mph. While temperatures are mild, wind and rain will make it feel pretty brisk and chilly at times.

Rain tapers off overnight and Central Oregon will be dry for the remainder of the week.

Temperatures for the rest of the week will be roughly 20 degrees above the seasonal average. Normal for this time of year is 41 degrees. You can look for highs to top out in the lower 60s, which would put us close to tying or breaking previous records. It will be a close call.

Happy Tuesday. Have a nice day.
