LOCAL ALERT WEATHER DAY: High Wind Warning Issued for Central Oregon

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Warning for the time frame of Tuesday evening through Wednesday afternoon.
Gusty winds will impact travel and the wet period ahead of the winds may compromise some root systems. Trees or tree limbs may fall on power lines. Localized power outages may occur.

The wind gusts may reach speeds up to 65 mph making travel difficult. The origin of the winds will be from the southwest ahead of a cold front, then from the west after the front passes.

This is a Yellow Local Alert Day, level one of two. Prepare for the damaging winds and possible power outages.
