Wintry mix possible at times, windy Wednesday expected
BEND, Ore (KTVZ) -
Central Oregon will see a passing shower midday with a mixture of rain and snow. A wintry mix is possible overnight.
Some models have the mix clearing early Wednesday, while some are hinting that a few rain showers might linger through the first half of Wednesday. Rain chances Wednesday are slim but have increased. If you’ve got outdoor plans for Christmas Eve during the first half of the day, pack a jacket with a hood just in case.
You’ll be running into windy conditions Wednesday. Winds will gust between 30-35mph. A Special Weather Statement has been released for portions of the Tri-County area due to forecasted high winds. Very localized damage and power outages are possible, but not highly anticipated.
No white Christmas is expected this year but you might catch a rogue raindrop or snowflake at some point during the day. Same deal on Friday. We’ll call the end of the week “likely dry” since chances for precipitation are a little less than 20%.
You can expect dry conditions this weekend for any potential travel plans after the holiday.
Have a great day.
