Madras City Council narrows down Chief of Police candidates to five

MADRAS, Ore. (KTVZ) – The City of Madras has identified five finalists for the Chief of Police position: Jamie Carrico, Jeffrey Lee, William Cutshall, Jausiah Jacobsen and James Macfarlane.

The finalists were chosen following a comprehensive recruitment and evaluation process led by GMP Consultants, an external consulting firm. The Madras City Council has scheduled interviews for the finalists on Jan. 6, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.

The interviews will take place at Madras City Hall, located at 125 SW E Street, Madras, OR 97741. As mandated by Oregon Public Meetings Law, the interviews will be conducted in executive session and will be closed to the public.

Each interview will involve multiple panels that include members of City leadership and public safety partners, allowing for a thorough evaluation of each candidate's qualifications. Following the interviews, the Madras City Council will deliberate and determine the next steps in the selection process for the new Chief of Police.
