Clouds increase through Friday with a mix of rain and snow Saturday

KTVZ-TV

Good morning!

Some wet weather is returning to Central Oregon this weekend.

Friday is our transition day as the skies will fill up with clouds late in the day. Light mountain snow moves in tonight, but most areas will stay dry today.

Above normal temperatures are sticking around today with afternoon highs near the 50s. Temperatures will dip into the 20s and 30s during the overnight hours.

For Valentine’s Day plans on Saturday, expect mostly cloudy skies with off and on light rain.  Later in the day, some snow could mix in before showers taper off early Sunday.

We’ll get a brief break from the wet weather on Sunday, though skies will remain mostly cloudy. Friday and Sunday offer the best chance to avoid showers at Bend's WinterFest, but even Saturday’s rain is expected to be light.

Highs will be in the mid to upper 40s over the weekend.

More mountain snow is in the forecast for President’s Day Monday, with a rain and snow mix for the High Desert. Little to no accumulation is likely due to the warmer temperatures.

A rain and snow mix is expected once again on Tuesday. Cooler highs in the upper 30s could allow for a bit of light accumulation.
