Winter Weather Advisory issued for mountain snow, areas of dense fog this morning

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - We’re tracking a persistent pattern of mountain snow this week, with a Winter Weather Advisory in effect through Tuesday for the Cascades and east slopes. There will be around 2 to 3 inches of snowfall daily which will help steadily boost resort totals and improve seasonal conditions.
Snow accumulation on the High Desert will stay limited. Areas like La Pine and Sisters could see around an inch, but most of the moisture will be wrung out over the mountains. Travel could be slick overnight into the morning commute as temperatures drop and roads ice up.
A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect for portions of Central Oregon this morning. Temperatures will be in the upper 20s to low 30s as you're heading out the door.
This afternoon, temperatures will climb into the low to mid 40s. Light rain is expected today, with some snow mixing in at times.
A low moving in from the Gulf of Alaska is bringing the colder air and moisture over the next several days. Cooler temperatures will be a key theme this week, with highs dropping to the mid to upper 30s.
