Unseasonably warm Wednesday with mostly sunny skies

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - A strong ridge of high pressure is keeping temperatures well above normal across the region this week.

We broke records in Redmond and Madras yesterday, and tied records in Bend and Sisters.

You’ll want to dress in layers, as mornings start off cool before warming up nicely in the afternoon. Highs will reach the mid 70s today, with a few spots closer to the upper 60s under mostly sunny skies.

Thursday will be very similar, with mid to upper 70s and a few more clouds at times. We could see record warmth again.

Friday marks the vernal equinox, the official start of spring, with nearly equal day and night. The warm, dry pattern continues with highs in the mid 70s.

A cold front arrives this weekend, bringing cooler air back into the region. Highs will drop into the mid to upper 50s.
