There’s Good News: “They told me I couldn’t play, I still did”; coach Dez Scruggs’ inspiring journey

CINCINATTI, OH (NBC) -- At Pleasant Hill Middle School in Cincinnati, basketball coach Dez Scruggs is inspiring the next generation of players. As a player he was diagnosed with a rare condition that left him legally blind, but Scruggs was determined to stay on the court, and managed to find his footing as a coach. NBC News’ Hallie Jackson has the story.
