Deschutes Children’s Foundation expands support for nonprofits serving children and families

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Deschutes Children's Foundation announced May 13, 2026, it has office space available for nonprofit organizations dedicated to serving children and families. The available space is part of the foundation's efforts to support critical services for families across Central Oregon.
The announcement was made in Bend, Ore., highlighting the foundation's ongoing commitment to fostering a collaborative environment for its partner organizations.
The foundation operates on a collaborative model where 23 nonprofits currently utilize four community campuses across Central Oregon to provide essential services. Nonprofit partners colocating at Deschutes Children's Foundation campuses receive various benefits.
These benefits include no-cost facility management, an onsite Campus Advocate and organized expense sharing, which collectively help reduce operating expenses and improve service delivery. Partner programs also receive classroom and office space at rates as low as 80% lower than comparable market rent, with monthly use fees offsetting utilities and maintenance.
Collocating on a Deschutes Children's Foundation campus also benefits the children and families served by partner organizations. When nonprofits work alongside one another in a shared space, families can more easily access multiple supportive services in one welcoming location.
Campus Advocates help create a warm and supportive environment by greeting visitors, assisting families navigate the campus and connecting them with the partner programs that can best support their needs.
Nonprofit organizations interested in securing the available office space must submit specific information to be considered. Required details include the organization's name and designation, the specific services it will provide from the site and the type and amount of space the program is seeking.
Applicants also need to detail how often the space will be utilized on a daily or weekly basis, the potential number of staff to be located at the campus and any existing relationships or collaborations with other partners or programs on campus. Operations Director Ciaran Jones for Deschutes Children's Foundation, is overseeing the application process.
Deschutes Children's Foundation was founded in 1990 with a vision for a community where all children and families have the resources they need to thrive. The foundation provides classroom and office space, along with free facility management, to 19 nonprofits at its four community campuses in Central Oregon.
