BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) — More than 800 community members attended Truck Time, a free event hosted by the Skylark Social Club in Bend on Saturday. The event provided young children with an opportunity to explore specialty vehicles and meet their operators.

Truck Time serves as part of the Skylark Social Club, a new initiative from the school designed to offer free, family-friendly experiences. The club aims to foster connection among families in Bend through play, enrichment, and community engagement.

Multiple community groups participated in Truck Time, bringing various vehicles for children to experience up close.

The Deschutes County SWAT Team, Cascade East Transit, Adventure Medics and VRCCO's pet ambulance were all present.

Local construction companies also brought heavy equipment to the event.

The initiative provided a hands-on learning environment, allowing children to learn about how these vehicles and their operators serve the community. The event was envisioned as a fun, highly visual experience that also highlights community connection and hands-on learning for young children.
