US-97 opens after being closed from serious 2-vehicle crash, possible fatality reported

TERREBONNE, Ore. (KTVZ) — US-97 has reopened in both directions north of Terrebonne after a serious two-vehicle crash that shut down the highway for hours and prompted an air ambulance response. Oregon State Police told KTVZ News there may be a fatality.

The Oregon State Police and Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene.

Jole Kelley with OSP told KTVZ News, "This is still an active incident, so I don’t have much information yet. The preliminary information indicates a two-vehicle accident with a possible fatality."

Traffic backed up on Highway 97 from closure.
