Central Oregon is warming up

KTVZ-TV

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - It’s starting to feel more like summer across Central Oregon as a warming trend takes over. Expect mostly sunny skies today with afternoon highs reaching the upper 70s to low 80s. A light breeze will develop later in the day.

Overnight lows will cool into the 40s under mostly clear skies.

We'll keep the warm and sunny pattern going Friday through the weekend with highs in the low to mid 80s.

The heat continues to build early next week as high pressure strengthens over the Pacific Northwest. Highs will climb into the low 90s on Monday.

Tuesday looks to be the hottest day of the forecast, with temperatures reaching the mid to upper 90s. This is well above our normal highs for early June in the low 70s.

No heat alerts are in effect for our area right now, but it’s a good reminder to stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and never leave children or pets unattended in a vehicle.

Have a great Thursday!
