Furry Friends: Daisy is a senior sweetheart!

Daisy is this week's featured adoptable pet at BrightSide Animal Center in Redmond.

She may be a senior dog, but Daisy still has the heart and energy of a much younger pup. Shelter staff say she is affectionate, playful and does best with older children.

If you've fallen for Daisy, now is a great time to adopt. BrightSide Animal Center is participating in the "Empty the Shelters" adoption event through July 26. During the promotion, adoption fees are $50 for dogs 6 months and older and $20 for cats 6 months and older.

If you'd like to meet Daisy, visit BrightSide Animal Center in Redmond. The shelter is open from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
