Junior Forecaster: Harper enjoys heading to the lake to kayak and cool down

Harper is heading into the fourth grade at Sage Elementary school and is a big fan of the summer. She enjoys heading to some of the area lakes with her family to cool off in the pleasant waters here in Central Oregon. The "cooling off" in the lake is the main reason she likes the heat.

Her favorite subjects in school are reading, history and math; all are very important subjects. The math is a good subject if you want to study weather as there is a lot of calculating in meteorology.

When it comes to thunderstorms, Harper is not a fan.

She likes to watch her brother play baseball when she is not playing volleyball. In the winter she enjoys putting food coloring in the snow, making a snow ball, and throwing it at her brother. Possibly to give him some practice fielding ground balls when he plays baseball.
