Smoky start to the week; Storm chances return Wednesday

KTVZ

Smoke and mostly cloudy skies remain the main weather story across Central Oregon through Monday. Expect patchy to areas of smoke tonight, with overnight lows in the upper 50s to lower 60s.

Monday stays mostly cloudy with continued smoke and slightly cooler afternoon highs in the upper 80s to lower 90s across the High Desert, while communities along the east slopes of the Cascades remain cooler in the 70s and 80s.

Temperatures warm back into the 90s Tuesday before a chance of showers and thunderstorms develops Wednesday, with the greatest potential along the Cascades.

After that midweek system, drier weather returns for the end of the week and into next weekend.
