Hot Friday ahead, Red Flag Warning through Saturday

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - A Red Flag Warning goes into effect at 1pm today through 8pm tomorrow. Hot, windy and very dry conditions could cause fires to spread quickly. Please avoid outdoor burning.

Highs will climb into the low to mid 90s across Central Oregon today. Expect mostly sunny skies, though some patchy smoke and haze may linger.

Smoke and air quality can change significantly within an hour or throughout the day, so be sure to monitor conditions in your area.

Saturday will be another very warm to hot day, with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s. Fire danger remains high, with much of the Tri-County area under extreme drought conditions.

Overnight lows will dip into the 40s and 50s.

Expect highs in the upper 80s on Sunday, with sunny and dry conditions. Storms are not expected to impact your weekend plans.

Don’t expect much change heading into next week. Temperatures will dip by a few degrees before warming again by midweek. No rain is expected for the next several days.
