Oregon Ducks football join Big Ten media day ahead of 2026 season

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ)-- Football season is drawing closer, and the Oregon Ducks officially kicked off preparations for the 2026 campaign at Big Ten Media Day.

Oregon enters the season following a successful 2025 campaign that saw the Ducks finish third in the Big Ten with a 13-2 overall record. The team also reached the College Football Playoff semifinals before falling to eventual national champion Indiana.

With a strong group of veteran players returning, expectations are once again high in Eugene. Many Ducks fans believe this year's roster has the talent and experience to make another run at a national championship.

The Ducks will officially begin fall practice next week as they continue preparing for the upcoming season. Before practices get underway, head coach Dan Lanning and his staff are scheduled to make a stop in Central Oregon this weekend.
