There’s Good News: Kiwanis Club receives $25,000 grant for new Redmond playground

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The Kiwanis Club of Redmond is getting a $25,000 boost toward a new playground!

The grant from the Kiwanis International Foundation will help fund a playground at the new Redmond Hub. The center is expected to open in early fall.

The grant brings the Kiwanis Club's three-year fundraising total to $143,000 — toward a goal of $250,000.

Playground equipment has already been ordered and is expected to be in place by the end of the year.

The project is part of the new $49-million complex on SW 35th Street and Lava Avenue.
