Redmond seeks volunteers for annual Bike & Pedestrian Count

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The City of Redmond Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee is seeking community volunteers for its annual Bike & Pedestrian Count, scheduled for Sept. 17 and Sept. 19.

The annual effort gathers data on pedestrians and bicyclists at intersections across the city. Information collected during the event will help guide future municipal investments in crosswalks, bike lanes and other pedestrian infrastructure.

Volunteers will be assigned to specific intersections to observe and record modes of travel, including walking, bicycling and riding scooters, during two-hour observation periods. Shift options include Thursday, Sept. 17, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Saturday, Sept. 19, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
