The Big Playback: Top plays from Friday Night Lights

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ)-- Three standout plays from Friday night’s high school football action are up for this week’s Top Play vote.

Mountain View running back Ryder Carpenter is the first nominee after helping the Cougars defeat North Medford. Carpenter bounced a run outside, used his speed and found the end zone for Mountain View’s first touchdown of the night.

The second nominee comes from Ridgeview’s 37-0 win over Crater. Quarterback Jordan Rodriguez connected with Finn Chambers on a deep touchdown pass, with Chambers doing the rest of the work after the catch. The play highlighted the big-play potential of the Ridgeview offense.

The final nomination comes from the Mountain View defense. Late in the first half against North Medford, Krew Harrison made a crucial pass breakup on a potential touchdown, helping keep the Black Tornadoes out of the end zone and preserving Mountain View’s 14-3 halftime lead.
