Wind Advisory today along with rain, cooler pattern through the weekend

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Get ready for a noticeable change to the weather pattern. A low pressure system is bringing cool, wet and windy weather to the Pacific Northwest.

Rain moved into Central Oregon overnight, with showers possible off and on through Friday. The steadiest rain is expected during the morning, but showers could become spotty by the afternoon.

A Wind Advisory takes effect at 8am for parts of Deschutes, Crook and Jefferson counties. Southwest winds of 15 to 25 mph could gust up to 45 mph, so secure any loose outdoor items.

This system is pulling colder air in from the Gulf of Alaska, sending highs down into the upper 50s and low 60s today.

Overnight lows will be chilly as temperatures tumble into the 20s and 30s.

The cooler than normal pattern will stick around through the weekend, but the rain will move out. Highs will be in the middle 60s Saturday and Sunday under partly to mostly sunny skies.

Temperatures will climb back into the upper 60s Monday, then reach the low 70s Tuesday, closer to normal for this time of year.
