Early October is feeling like summer

KTVZ

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - We're in the middle of fall, but temperatures are feeling more summer-like here in Central Oregon.

Expect above normal temperatures for the next several days as a large ridge of high pressure strengthens over the Pacific Northwest.

We will begin Friday with mostly cloudy conditions but skies will gradually become sunny. Highs will rise into the upper 70s and low 80s today.

If you’re heading outdoors this weekend, you may want to trade your fall layers for shorts and a T-shirt.

Expect sunny skies on Saturday with highs in the low 80s. Temperatures could rise into the upper 80s by Sunday and it's very possible we could break a few records.

The summerlike warmth sticks around into next week, with a stretch of 80-degree days.

Highs will stay in the upper 90s Monday with plenty of sunshine. Dry weather continues through next week, with temperatures dipping into the mid 80s Tuesday through Thursday.

Normal high temperatures for this time of year are in the upper 60s and low 70s. Enjoy the warmth while it's still here, winter is just around the corner.
