Furry Friends: Oscar is looking for a loving home!

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) - This week’s Furry Friend is Oscar!

He arrived at BrightSide Animal Center as a stray with uveitis, a condition that causes inflammation inside the eyes.

The shelter is treating him with antibiotics and steroids. While the cause remains unknown, Oscar still appears to be able to see.

Oscar was a little grouchy when he first arrived, earning him the nickname “Oscar the Grouch.”

Since then, he’s warmed up and become much more comfortable around people, letting staff hold him, pet him and give him scratches.

This sweet, independent guy needs a family willing to give him the patience and care he deserves.

You can meet Oscar at BrightSide Animal Center in Redmond. The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday.
