Warming trend this week, monitoring our next potential rain system

KTVZ-TV

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) - Howdy all! Happy Tuesday to you. The High Desert is heading into a lovely stretch of fall weather, with a steady warming trend bringing noticeably warmer temperatures each day through Friday. Tomorrow will be about 5 degrees warmer than today, Thursday around 10 degrees warmer, and by Friday, highs are likely to be about 15 degrees warmer than today!

Overnight lows will also be much more comfortable, generally settling into the upper 30s and low 40s. Yes...that means a chilly start to the day, but afternoons will feel warmer and warmer as temperatures climb and sunshine sticks around. It's really going to be a great week to get outside and enjoy Central Oregon!

Looking ahead, I'm keeping an eye on our next potential rain system, which could move into the region Sunday night and bring chances for rain/snow through Monday and Tuesday. There's still uncertainty with the timing and details, so there's nothing to be alarmed about just yet. Our team will continue tracking the system and keep you updated as the forecast details narrow.

Enjoy the beautiful weather, folks! The rest of the workweek is looking fantastic, with warmer afternoons ahead. We'll keep watching our next system, but for now, get out there and enjoy it!
