BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Every year, the FBI tracks and reports on the number of active shooter attacks in the United States.

Different agencies track numbers in different ways. According to the FBI, an active shooter is defined as one of more individuals actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in populated area.

Here is a look at the data from the past 10 years:

From 2015 to 2025, there have been 381 active shooter incidents.

That is an average of 35 per year.
