Humane Society of Central Oregon seeks home for bonded pair of cats abandoned at shelter

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Two affectionate cats are looking for a forever home after being among 10 cats abandoned at the Humane Society of Central Oregon.

Dale and Doug were brought to the shelter along with eight other cats, all crammed into a single small-to-medium wire crate.

Despite their difficult start, the pair have shown their sweet personalities while waiting for adoption. The two are bonded and need to find a home together.

According to Lynne, with the Humane Society of Central Oregon, Dale and Doug can often be found playing together or simply spending time side by side.

They've also become favorites in the shelter's youth volunteer reading program. When children sit down to read, the cats like to curl up beside them and listen to the stories.

The Humane Society says Dale and Doug are just two of several cats currently available for adoption.

Anyone interested in welcoming a new feline friend into their home is encouraged to visit the Humane Society of Central Oregon and meet the animals looking for families.
