Bend-La Pine Schools graduation ceremonies to air, stream live
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Community members are invited to celebrate the Bend-La Pine Schools Class of 2020 by watching the graduation ceremonies live.
Our high schools' graduation ceremonies will be filmed and streamed live locally on COTV channel 11 (611 HD) on our original graduation dates:
- Bend Senior High School (394 graduates) – June 6 at 3 p.m.
- Bend Tech Academy at Marshall High School (45 graduates) – June 8 at 7 p.m.
- La Pine High School (98 graduates) – June 5 at 7 p.m.
- Mt. View High School (383 graduates) – June 6 at 10 a.m.
- Summit High School (388 graduates) – June 4 at 7 p.m.
Families may also view the ceremony live on the COTV website, www.COTV11.com and via the Bend-La Pine Schools’ Facebook page – www.facebook.com/BendLaPineSchools. Links to view the ceremony will also be available on the Bend-La Pine Schools’ website, after the conclusion of the ceremonies.
Additionally, beginning this week, high schools are hosting in-person diploma walks for graduates. Each graduate has been invited to walk across the school’s stage to receive a diploma while wearing cap and gown.
Members of the Class of 2020 earned numerous prestigious accomplishments, including:
- Two National Merit Scholars
- 355 students who are graduating with honors diplomas
- 118 Advanced Placement Scholars
- 16 International Baccalaureate diplomas
- 40 Seal of Biliteracy recipients
Many of this year’s graduating seniors will pursue post-secondary education, training or careers. The Class of 2020 earned millions in scholarships and students accepted admissions to dozens of prestigious universities and enrolled in the Armed Forces.
