SMOKE!

-GOOD THURSDAY MORNING, EVERYONE...

Clear skies this morning are once again marred by thick smoke and a hazardous air quality. Clouds will thicken through the day and a chance of late-day rain showers will move in. Highs will be in the low to mid 80's and NW breezes will be gentle at 5-10 mph. We have a 30% of rain overnight, with breezes becoming light out of the SW after midnight. Overnight lows will range from the low 40's to around 50.

A 70% chance of rain Friday will taper off Friday night into Saturday morning. Highs will be in the mid 60's and overnight lows will be in the mid 30's to mid 40's. There will be some gradual clearing Saturday, but we will stay cool, with highs in the mid 60's again. Skies will be sunny to mostly sunny from Sunday through the middle of next week. Highs will be in the mid 70's until Wednesday when we reach about 80.

Rain and cooler temperatures this weekend will help firefighting efforts, but are not likely to extinguish all of the wildfires. We will have to wait until Sunday and beyond to see what the smoke situation will be in Central Oregon.
