Bend police look for apparent ‘peeping Tom’ at Riverbend Park restrooms

Witnesses say man apparently was trying to look at restroom users

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- Bend police are seeking more information from the public after witnesses said a man was trying to view restroom patrons Tuesday morning at Riverbend Park.

Police responded around 10 a.m. to the report of an invasion of personal privacy at the park on Southwest Columbia Street, Corporal Josh Spano said.

Bend Parks and Recreation District park stewards relayed information from witnesses about the man trying to view patrons of the public restrooms at the park, he said.

The suspect was described as a white male adult in his late 20s to early 30s, with dirty blonde or brown hair, wearing a dark green sweatshirt, long gray shorts and a backpacking-style backpack.

The man fled the area after a witness discovered his intentions, the corporal said. Spano said police collected several items of evidence that have been submitted to the Oregon State Police Crime Lab.
