Bend police, other depts. experience phone issues
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- The city of Bend reported late Wednesday it was having telephone issues affecting some departments, including police, though 911 and Deschutes County 911 non-emergency dispatch (541-693-6911) were not affected.
The affected city departments were unable to receive incoming calls. Callers to Bend police at their main phone number, 541-322-2960 were hearing a fast-busy signal, police Lt. Clint Burleigh said.
"There is no timetable in regards to when the phone system will be fixed," Burleigh said in a news release.
