Big shift in volume from letters to packages means more Bend mail to be processed in Portland

As part of a nation-wide consolidation of facilities, the Bend U.S. Postal Service processing center is moving to Portland. The facility on NE 4th street in Bend is one of 18 to make a shift across the country.
